Maker: New Wharf Pottery Co.

Origin: Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England

Era: Late Victorian period (c. 1878–1894)

Pattern: “Waldorf” – a floral design with decorative detailing and a scalloped or beaded rim

Type: Flow blue semi-porcelain

These New Wharf Pottery “Waldorf” flow blue plates were produced in Burslem, England during the late Victorian era, when flow blue was widely popular. The Waldorf pattern features a rich floral design paired with an ornate rim, finished in the softly blurred cobalt blue glaze that defines classic flow blue wares.

Perfect for decorative display, these plates can be styled in a china cabinet, on a easel, on a kitchen or entryway table as a catchall, used as a plant plate, or incorporated into a gallery plate wall. With so many creative uses, they add texture and visual interest to a space. Due to their age and natural crazing, these plates are intended for decorative use only and are not recommended for dining.
