This antique silver-plated condiment holder or pickle castor features a central figural lady with a handle in the middle and two attached side holders. The two holders are adorned with etched florals, diamond patterns, and scrollwork, with small slots in the center that may have held spoons. Traditionally, pickle castors were used in Victorian households to serve pickles, chutneys, and other condiments at the table. Versatile and decorative, this piece can be used in the kitchen for salt and pepper or on the table for olives, pickles, and other condiments when entertaining.
