This reproduction statue depicts the nude torso of Venus and is stamped Musée du Louvre Reproduction Ateliers de Moulage with a signature. The Louvre often creates reproductions using molds from original statues, crafted in materials such as resin, plaster, or bonded marble, for sale in their gift shop. This particular piece, likely made of plaster, is no longer available through the museum. Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty, has inspired artists for centuries, and this statue reflects her classical elegance. Due to its age, it shows some marks, light scratches, and a few tiny chips. It is the perfect piece to display on an entryway table, a marble pedestal, or in a tall bookshelf, adding a touch of timeless charm to any space.
