This Podmore Walker & Co. “The Temple” flow blue plate was produced in Staffordshire, England during the late Victorian period. The pattern depicts a detailed Oriental-inspired scene with temples, bridges, and landscape elements, rendered in rich flow blue tones that gently bleed into the glaze, a hallmark of this decorative technique.

Ideal for decorative display, this plate can be showcased in a china cabinet, on a easel, on a kitchen or entryway table as a catchall, used as a plant plate, or incorporated into a gallery plate wall. Due to its age and natural crazing, this plate is intended for decorative use only and is not recommended for dining.

Details:

  • Plate is 7.8 inches wide 
  • No chips or cracks, but has a couple tiny spots
  • Plate has some slight scratches due to use and age
  • All flow blue pieces are antique, many over 100 years old, so some wear such as chips, crazing, or scratches is to be expected and part of their story.
