This antique Eastlake wall shelf is crafted from rich walnut or oak wood and features finely carved leaf details, showcasing the elegant craftsmanship of the Eastlake period, which emerged in the late 19th century as part of the Victorian era and emphasized modest, geometric ornamentation. The back includes two hooks for easy wall hanging, and the shelf was possibly used to hold a clock or other decorative objects. A beautiful example of functional and refined 19th-century design.
